Loud and Yellow Laughter - Sindiswa Busuku (University of Cape Town)

In this lecture, Sindiswa Busuku (University of Cape Town) discusses her award-winning debut collection Loud and Yellow Laughter (2016). The book combines prose poetry, diary fragments, and photographs to construct an experimental narrative of memory, loss, and fractured family histories. Busuku reflects on her creative process, the role of visual and archival material in shaping her work, and the ways in which hybrid forms can open up new possibilities for South African writing.
